The KMI will provide "vocal coaching" for students who have a specific need:

1. Preparing for a audition
2. Preparing for a role.

For vocal coaching, the student must have the requisite background to benefit from coaching, which includes ability to read music and some basic musical knowledge and experience. Therefore, the KMI faculty reserve the right to decline a student for vocal coaching if the faculty determine that the requested coaching is beyond the student's ability and/or time available for preparation.

All students are strongly encouraged to enroll for regular voice lessons, so that a proper technique may be developed and full musical knowledge may be acquired.
