ENSEMBLES
For students studying an orchestral or band instrument, admission in an ensembles based on an audition is an important achievement and milestone in measuring accomplishment. Throughout the student's educational years there are many different ensemble opportunities: school orchestra or band, school chorus, church choir, city-wide orchestra or band, regional honors band, state honors band, etc.
Once admitted, participation in these ensembles is extremely rewarding for the student. Whereas practice at home can be lonely and isolating, being part of the ensemble is exciting and fulfilling. The for the parents, seeing the child "part of the group" and making wonderful music is equally as fulfilling and a strong justification for the years of expense and commitment.
