COMMITMENT
The longer the family and student commit to music lessons, the greater the benefits to the student. These benefits fall into two categories: 1) music related; 2) cross-over benefits.
Music Related Benefits: Enjoyment of music, lifelong appreciation of music and the arts, participation in music related activities in school, creation of a meaningful passtime for life and potential for a career in music.
Cross-Over Benefits: Improved school grades and test scores, increased self-esteem, higher ACT/SAT scores, higher motivation, stronger leadership qualities, better team-playing attitudes, positively influencing friendships, more acute problem solving abilities, more developed time-management skills, more efficient project management skills, outlet for creative expression, venue for stress/pressure relief and meaningful extra curricular honors for college applications.
