POLICIES OF THE KIKUCHI MUSIC INSTITUTE
The policies in this section describe the business practices of the Kikuchi Music Institute. These policies are designed to protect KMI, the KMI faculty and the student body by making clear each party's rights and responsibilities. All students who enroll at KMI must agree to abide by these policies, and the penalties that result from non-compliance. For complete descriptions of the academic policies, please refer to the sections for the applicable programs and/or departments.
Signed Agreement: Prior to beginning lessons, all students (or their responsible parent or guardian) must sign an agreement to abide by these policies. This contract specifically states that the tuition for the 6-Lesson Introduction is non-refundable. If a student chooses to withdraw before completing a Full Term, only part of the tuition is refundable. Likewise, the enrollment form for subsequent terms includes a pledge to comply with KMI policies which must be signed before the student can continue with the next term.
N.B. Our contract has been proven in a court of law by a customer who thought he could sue our school for the unusued tuition. In the end, he paid three times the tuition amount in court costs and spent several hours in court for nothing.
Several policies changed effective August 20, 2007. Please see the Summary of Policy Changes for details.
