Hello, I am Nick. I am currently in the 11th grade at Montour High School and have studied piano for 9½ years (the last 4½ years with Mr. Kikuchi).
In addition to playing piano, I play saxophone in the Montour Marching Band, Jazz Band, and participate on the High School Tennis Team. A am vice-president of National Honor Society, president of Law Team, and captain of the Hi-Q Team. Outside of school, I am an alter server, I have earned my Eagle Scout spring of 2007 and I play piano at an assisted living facility once a week at their dinner hour. In 2008 I won First Prize at the PPTA Senior Solo Piano Competition and I won Second Prize at the Aiken-Cadman Piano Competition. I have participated in the PPTA Evaluations for four years: 2005 Level V, 2006 Level VIII, 2007 Level IX and 2008 Level X. I plan to double major in piano and engineering when I enter college. [Nick studies with Mr. Kikuchi through the Lisa Rae Vaughan Music Studios]
I invite you to read my personal thoughts regarding the importance of music that I share in my two essays below:

(ESSAY by Nick: "Music in My Life")
(ESSAY by Nick: "Why I Play Piano ")
(ESSAY by Lee Kikuchi: "But is it soaring?" [Regarding "Aufschwung", below])
