FEATURED STUDENTS
THE ARTS BRING LIFE TO LIFE!
The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Alliance launched a campaign back in 1999 using this as the theme to raise awareness of how important the arts are to everyday life. The students in the KMI studios exemplify so well how much music contributes to the education of a well-rounded student. Just take a look at all the accomplishments our students achieve and witness first-hand the importance of a music education. Our parents all agree that their children would not do so well in all their academic and extra-curricular activities if it were not for the discipline and self-confidence gained through a music education.

This section features KMI students so that others can view their accomplishments. KMI currently has over 40 enrolled students. NOT ALL KMI students are featured here and participation is TOTALLY VOLUNTARY. The technical requirements for participation are listed below. [N.B. We have not had time to convert video files since last summer so there are many students not yet featured who will be shortly.]

Requirements:
1) Student MUST have participated in at least ONE KMI recital that is worthy of display.
2) Student MUST submit an application to participate.
3) Student MUST be a current student at KMI or a student of one of the KMI faculty.
4) Student and parent(s) MUST sign a release agreeing to be featured on the web site.
5) Faculty MUST approve the student's application to be featured.
6) All the student's available performances will be placed on the website providing they are not filled with mistakes, false starts, hesitations, or memory errors.
