Nathan Nypaver (Instructor) has been playing guitar for nine years, and has been teaching privately for about three years. In addition to teaching at the Kikuchi Music Institute, he teaches at The Kiksi School-Saltsburg (since October 2007) and has private students at his home.
His first instructor was Mr. Richard Rossi, and then transferred about 3 years later to Mr. Robert Michaels, Lead guitarist of a local pittsburgh band in order to perfect his skills and study more theory. Mr. Nypaver has developed several new musical techniques while performing in an acoustic
guitar band throughout the Brentwood area. He is currently teaching himself harmonica
to accompany his guitar playing, and has studied voice with Linda Wallace, director of the Tri County Choir
Institute. He has performed choral songs and solos
with the group for two years, and has performed regularly at the Assumption
Church (Bellevue) for several years: in the church choir, solo baritone, participating in the church
folk group and accompanying services and prayer gatherings.
Mr. Nypaver currently maintains a weekly teaching schedule of 10-15 students considering KMI, The Kiski School and his home studio combined.
Appointed September 2006.
